THE SUMMIT RAINFOREST RETREAT

The Summit Rainforest Retreat is a luxurious 4 bedroom private holiday house, nestled amongst "Mabi" rainforest and Halloran's Hill Environmental Park, which is located just one hours drive south west from Cairns City in the township of Atherton.

The retreat itself is situated on the summit of an extinct volcano and commands the highest point in Atherton.

This luxury holiday home can sleep up to 12 people and is ideal for couples, families, groups, multiple couples, weddings or conferences.

There are four bedrooms, three of which have private ensuites. The rooms can be configured to suit your requirements into king/twin or queen. The fourth bedroom has two single and two double bunks, ideal for the children.

You will love the tranquil rainforest setting with 180 degree panoramic views from the entertainment deck.

With over 2 hectares of land, peace and tranquillity is assured.

The "Tablelands" has a beautiful temperate climate, which makes it a January to December destination. Rainforest walks are at your back door, spotlighting at night is a feature, and the area is abundant native wildlife...birds, wallabies, pademelons, bandicoots, possums and tree kangaroos to name a few.

A three minute drive, brings you to Hastie Swamp, a two level bird hide that views thousands of birds in their natural habitat, or visit Crystal Caves in the Main Street of Atherton. Mt Mulligan Escarpment is a must see. The region also hosts a number of antique and arts and craft shops, as well as art studio's and galleries.
