Situated near Malanda in the heart of the Atherton Tablelands, the retreat has 300 metres of absolute frontage to the beautiful Johnstone River with its magnificent rapids, secluded swimming holes and resident wildlife. It is a nature lover's paradise.

'Coolara' is available for exclusive letting either in its entirety as a 3 bedroom lodge, or just the upstairs 2 bedroom living area. It is ideal for a romantic getaway, or for 2 or 3 couples traveling together ( sorry, no children!)

The upstairs section is the main part of the retreat and is fully self-contained with bedrooms, lounge and kitchen opening onto a large verandah with BBQ, casual chairs and dining furniture.

The upstairs lounge is very generous and boasts comfy sofas and reading chairs, library, DVD player with surround sound, VCR and television. There is a writing/office desk with Internet access, telephone and facsimile.

An impressive wood heater is the showpiece of the lounge.

The spacious gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with an extra large fridge, freezer, cook top, wall oven, microwave and dishwasher plus all necessary crockery, cutlery, pots and pans.

The main upstairs bedroom has a king size bed, and a huge walk in robe/dressing room - with views of the rainforest. The ensuite has a plate glass window and a glass wall that slides away to allow the double spa and shower full advantage of the natural surrounds.

The second upstairs bedroom has two king single beds and is privately positioned on the opposite side of the house.

Ceiling fans, a huge wood fireplace and reverse cycle air-conditioning maintains year round comfort.

For those guests wishing to let the entire residence, the downstairs section is a completely private retreat with a king size master bedroom with a private deck, walk-in robe and ensuite double spa and double shower which can also be completely opened up to enjoy the natural surrounds.
